Welcome to the first post of 40 Ain’t Finished! Today, we’re tackling something wild: the internet’s obsession with declaring us “old.” I mean, did you know that according to some online quizzes, I’ve been a senior citizen since 1999?
Let’s get one thing straight: 40 is not the end—it’s the beginning of your "I don’t care what they think" era. We’re talking glow-ups, not slow-downs!

There’s a prevailing notion in today’s society that once you reach a certain age, the best years are behind you. However, I believe that beauty, vitality, and purpose only continue to blossom beyond 40. Aging is a natural part of life, and it should be embraced with positivity and grace.
As I entered my forties and beyond, I began to notice a shift in societal perceptions and beauty standards around me. The pressure to maintain a youthful appearance felt overwhelming, especially with the prevalence of social media filters and unrealistic beauty ideals. But here’s the truth I’ve come to embrace: there is exquisite beauty in aging authentically and gracefully.
Instead of chasing after unattainable youthfulness, I’ve learned to celebrate my journey and the wisdom that comes with age. Every laugh line tells a story, and every gray hair is a mark of resilience. It’s about owning my unique journey and being unapologetically myself.
Navigating the digital landscape has its challenges, especially for women in my age group. Social media often perpetuates the belief that youth equals beauty, leading to feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. I strive to shift this narrative by connecting with others, sharing experiences, and empowering each other.
On Health: 🏋️♀️
The internet says we should just accept joint pain as our new BFF. False! Stretching, hydration, and maybe the occasional ice pack are the real MVPs.
On Beauty: 💄✨
Apparently, 40+ is when we’re supposed to “tone down” our looks. But I say wear the bold lipstick, flaunt the glitter, and embrace those grays—or dye them purple if you feel like it.
On Intimacy: ❤️🔥
They’d have you believe our “best years” are behind us. Insert dramatic laugh here. Nope. Spoiler: we’re just getting started.
My journey has been deeply personal – from overcoming health challenges to embracing the beauty of aging. This blog serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for women like me who are navigating this transformative phase of life. I believe that every woman is a masterpiece in the making, and that true beauty emanates from within.
So here’s to busting myths, sharing laughs, and living our best lives—because 40 ain’t finished, and neither are we. What’s one thing you’re still doing (or starting) that the world thinks you “shouldn’t”? Let me know!
